Report: Forbes ranks Mail.Ru as most expensive firm of Runet
MOSCOW, Feb 29 (PRIME) -- Internet giant Mail.Ru Group has topped the Forbes rating of the most expensive companies of the Russian-speaking Internet, known as the Runet, with the value of U.S. $4.7 billion, the local edition of Forbes said Monday on its Web site.
“Mail.Ru Group has become the most expensive company of the Runet for the first time, by outstripping the constant leader Yandex. Despite the crisis, segments of mobile advertising and advertisements in social networks continue growing,” Forbes said.
Yandex occupied the second rank with the value of $4.3 billion. “Yandex tries by all means to increase the share of non-advertising income in revenue,” the rating read.
